Somatics: Sensitive Therapeutics, Ceremony, and Group Facilitation

Trauma Processing & Breathing Behavior Analysis and Functional Recovery

** Prerequisite:  Completion of Block B or Level 4 of previous program

Entrance Requirements

Entrance

In order to apply for entrance into the Nūma Breathwork Training program, the following must be completed:

  

  1. The Nūma Breathwork Facilitator Training Application form (completed online during course registration)

  2. Completion of at least 1 Nūma Breathwork Immersion or an equivalent program from another Breathwork facilitator training program.

  3. Participation in a minimum of 10 facilitated Nūma Breathwork and/or Conscious Breathwork sessions from any related style of breathwork (i.e. Holotropic, Rebirthing, Clarity, Shamanic, Integrative, Breathwave, Transformational, Biodynamic, etc.)  Sessions may be either in group or private settings.  Ideally a portion of these sessions were experienced in person with a trained facilitator.  Each Nūma Breathwork Immersion attended counts as 3 of these sessions.

Please note, entrance into the training is not guaranteed.  

 

Each application will be reviewed thoroughly and, if deemed necessary, you may be asked to complete additional practices and/or trainings prior to being granted entrance into the Nūma Breathwork Facilitator Training.

Facilitator  & Practitioner Certification Process

Certification

Certification as a Nūma Breathwork Facilitator is granted upon the successful completion all components of the 350+hours Nūma Breathwork Facilitator Training.

 

This includes:

  

  • Attendance of the online and in-person modules of Block A & B 

 

  • Completion of all assigned web group meetings

  

  • Completion of all assigned web study meetings

  

  • Completion of all assigned home studies and practicum hours including:

    • 15 free one-on-one practicum sessions

    • 5 free group practicum sessions (2-3 participants)

    • 15 self-sessions (at least 5 must be solo/self-directed, others may be facilitated)

    • Review of assigned videos

    • Practice (assigned) of tools and techniques from each level

    • 10-week daily home breathwork practice (two 15-min sessions per day) or completing the Presence Process

    • Review of all training manuals

    • Reading of four (4) assigned books and writing a .5 - 1 page summary per book of key aspects that pertain to Nūma Breathwork facilitation (additional details on summaries provided during the training)

    • After completion of all training modules:

      • 10 by-donation or partial pay sessions with one clients, documented with submission of one sample session documents and one video record of sessions for review by trainers

      • 2 Observation Practice Pods

   

  • Submission of documentation providing details of completion of home studies and practicum hours for review by your Trainer.

 

Certification as a Nūma Somatics Practitioner (500+ hours) is granted upon completion of all above components plus the following.

  

This includes:

  

  • Attendance of the entire online and in-person of Block C

 

  • Completion of all assigned web group meetings

  

  • Completion of all assigned web study meetings

  

  • Completion of all assigned home studies and practicum hours, including:

    • 10 free one-on-one practicum sessions

    • 5 self-sessions (facilitated by a certified practitioner or facilitator)

    • Review of assigned videos

    • Practice (assigned) of tools and techniques from each level

    • Review of all training manuals

    • Reading of two (2) assigned books that pertain to Nūma Somatics facilitation and writing a .5 - 1 page summary per book of key aspects that pertain to Nūma Breathwork facilitation (additional details on summaries provided during the training)

    • After completion of all training modules:

      • 10 by-donation or partial pay sessions with one clients documented with submission of one sample session documents and one video record of sessions for review by trainers

      • 2 Group Case Consults

   

  • Submission of documentation providing details of completion of home studies and practicum hours for review by your Trainer.

​​Please note:  Certification is not guaranteed.  

 

Each trainee must demonstrate that they are both competent with the theories, principles, and practices of Nūma Breathwork and Nūma Somatics and capable of holding safe, confidential healing space for others.  If any of these elements are in question, the trainee may be asked to complete additional practices or training to develop the specific skill sets prior to receiving certification as a Nūma Breathwork Facilitator or Nūma Somatics Practitioner.

Please Note: Should Nūma Somatics need to cancel a training or event due to Covid restrictions, the registrant will be transferred to a future date or online.
