Join us online for an inspiring weekend with Jeremy Youst, the co-founder, and director of Power of Breath Institute, as we dive heart-first into the question of: who you would be without your story? This will be an experiential blend of self-work and facilitator training as we explore approaches to working with and renegotiating the core beliefs that limit our experience of life.
Core beliefs are the held viewpoints that define the essence of how we see ourselves, other people, the world, and the future. As trained breathwork facilitators, we help people to navigate their limiting beliefs in order to re-evaluate some of the stressful assumptions that can hijack our desired way of being. During our time together, we will carefully consider effective ways to approach these core beliefs and how to successfully be aware of, understand, and integrate them.
As an integral part of this process, we will be exploring “The Work” of Byron Katie. Katie’s work is a simple, effective approach to consciously inquiring into the truth of our stories, which are the tales we tell ourselves about reality. The Work is an applied writing exercise done individually and then examined in pairs or one person at a time within the safety and power of group inquiry. It is an opportunity to feel and write down our judgments about others (usually based upon our core beliefs), then investigate them to see if they’re true or not. The Work integrates beautifully with breathwork, where we can then use conscious, connected breathing to deepen the inquiry process into the emotional energy patterns held within our bodies.
