This workshop will give attendees a deeper understanding of the management of grief and loss from not just a clinical point of view but also a spiritual one by drawing on Buddhist practices and philosophies.  In light of the last few years, understanding the wisdom of grief has become essential all care providers. With over 20 years of experience in working with people who have advanced illness and their bereaved loved ones, Dr. Kumar knows that loss can take many forms.

On the last day of this workshop, Jodi Hope-Johnstone will lead a 3 hour ceremony and breathwork journey to allow participants to experience and process their own grief in a gentle yet profound way.  Jodi has over 20 years in the healing arts and is certified in contemplative end of life care through The Institute of Traditional Medicine.  She is also a certified Breathwork facilitator and trainer.

In this workshop you will:

  • Learn current perspectives on grief

  • Learn Buddhist perspectives on grief

  • Understand the processing of grief

  • Experience a healing ceremony and breathwork session to help process your own grief.

This workshop is for all those who are curious about grief and how to support themselves and others.
